1. These terms
These terms govern your use of devzent.com. Engagements for development work are governed by a separate signed agreement, which takes precedence over anything here where the two differ.
2. Using this site
You may use this site for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, interfere with its operation, scrape it at a rate that degrades service for others, or use automated systems to submit forms.
We run this site with reasonable care but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change or withdraw content without notice.
3. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, design, code, logos and graphics — belongs to Devzent or our licensors. You may read it, link to it and quote reasonable extracts with attribution. You may not republish it wholesale, sell it, or present it as your own.
Client names, logos and trade marks appearing in case studies belong to their respective owners and are used with permission.
4. Case study figures
Any results or figures we publish in a case study describe the specific environment they were measured in. They are not a promise of the same result elsewhere: your outcome depends on your data, your processes and your team. Examples and figures in our articles are illustrations unless the article says they were measured.
5. Engagement terms
Where we work together, a separate agreement covers scope, price, timelines, acceptance, intellectual property and liability. In summary, and subject always to that agreement:
- Ownership. On full payment, all source code, infrastructure definitions and deliverables created for you transfer to you. We retain rights to our pre-existing tools, libraries and general know-how.
- Confidentiality. Both parties keep the other's confidential information confidential, during the engagement and after it.
- Payment. Invoices are payable within 14 days unless otherwise agreed. We may suspend work on overdue accounts after written notice.
- Changes. Scope changes are agreed in writing with their cost and schedule impact before they are implemented.
6. Third-party links
We link to other sites we think are useful. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of data arising from your use of this site. Liability arising from an engagement is capped as set out in the relevant signed agreement.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Islamabad have exclusive jurisdiction. For international clients, the signed engagement agreement may specify a different governing law and forum, and where it does, that agreement prevails.
